Nicki Minaj & Ricky Martin: M.A.C Viva Glam 2012

In February 2012 Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin will be the new faces and shades of M.A.C's infamous VIVA GLAM lipsticks $14, which proceeds are donated to AIDS/HIV funds. This is somehow a pleasant surprise and a relief for most who did not get to purchase Nicki's popular limited edition lipstick Pink Friday, named after her album which sold out four consecutive Fridays after thanksgiving weekend in 2010. Both Nicki and Ricky's shades are...you guessed it! Pink. In the picture above he is holding up his shade and she is wearing hers. I cannot wait to find out the finishes of these lipsticks but either way I am getting them both. Not just for the cause, but also because I love Ricky and he is definitely an icon...stay tuned..I feel a review coming on.

This look was inspired by the opening scene in her music video "super bass". It looks as though she has a frosty yellow eyeshadow with a brown matte crease and baby pink liner or shadow on the bottom lid, with dramatic lashes. This simple yet colorful look can be worn day or night.

FYI: I applied NYX Dolly Pink lip liner as a base, and Nabi Lip liner in Fuchsia on top of the lipstick to give it dimension and tone down the color.
