Swatch Out! Tartelette Tease Clay Palette

I bought this palette because I did not like all the colors in the Tartlette In Bloom palette, but what I did like was the buttery formula of the shadows. So after agonizing over whether or not I wanted to spend money on another palette where I would only use a few colors. I settled on this little baby. Because of the $21.00 price point I figured it would be a win anyway. The palette itself has a nice sized mirror and sturdy packaging, and features 6 eye shadows at 0.03oz each. 2 shimmer eye shadows and 4 mattes. My favorite colors are Heartbreaker (Brown) , Bff (Plum) and Crush (Taupe). This palette is great for everyday super neutral eye looks. If you are new to makeup it is a great palette to start off with, because there are some great brow bone and eye lid colors in this palette, Whisper and Wink are great brow bone colors and of course First Kiss looks awesome on the lid by itself. I personally love to use Crush, Heartbreaker and Bff on my lids. If you are artfully skilled you can use Heartbreaker or Bff as a contour or transitional color. I experienced very little fall out with these shadows and the longevity is excellent with a primer of course. These are clay shadows so I recommend using a cream shadow base or any concealer you may have instead of a regular primer, so that the colors can really pop, plus I find my eye shadows stay on longer when using a concealer or cream base instead, but that's just me.  If you were on the fence about purchasing this little palette I hope this review helps you with your decision. _XoXo, Madison

Blush Battle! Sephora Baked Luminizer Light Beam VS. NARS Highlighting Blush Miss Liberty

Both of these powders are very very similar which is my reason for this post. Every now and then beauty bloggers will come across dupes in their collection that are similar to high end makeup products. NARS Highlighting Blush in Miss Liberty is $30.00 and Sephora Collection MicroSmooth Baked Luminizer 02 Light Beam is $14.00. In the photo's above both look like twins, with Miss Liberty having just a bit more glitter. NARS Miss Liberty is more powdery than Light Beam, and Light Beam's application is smoother. Both are great highlighters for light to tan skin. Please use caution and a light hand application as Light Beam can appear chalky on brown skin. I did not have this problem though with Miss Liberty. If you are looking for a more conventional, everyday highlight these just might do the trick. Both are worth the investment. But if you are looking to save some chips, go with Sephora's 02 Light Beam.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick (Rich Blood)

PROS: I have had this color for awhile now. I ordered it on the first release and I am glad I did. Although it is not as sparkly as I would hope from most metallic liquid lipsticks it doesn't disappoint. It is a deep cherry red with some metallic reflects in it's mist and it is also matte finish like all the other colors in the liquid lipstick collection and I love that. It is a great holiday color, or if you are just going on a night on the town. Because of it's semi sparkle sheen. I would not deem this color safe for work, as it is more of a party or date night lip color. Unlike it's predecessor Red Rum, which is perfect for day, night or whatever. $18.00 USD Jeffree Star Cosmetics

CONS: This color is not as opaque as the other colors in this collection, this may be because of the formula. Also this color does transfer a bit and the longevity is not as I expected for the price. This is the reason for the low score in pigmentation and longevity. However the shipping was fast and overall I am not disappointed in this purchase, mainly because I do not have a color like it in my collection
