Overrated Product? Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter: Gumdrop #060

★Review★
I wore this so called lip butter in Gumdrop about 3 days in a row. And I was not impressed at all. First of all the pigmentation of this particular color I purchased is nonexistent, second it feels like a chap stick which is not a bad thing but it is not long lasting at all. OMG..after watching many different rave reviews I thought, why not give it a try. And I tried so hard to like this product but I just can't get my mind wrapped around why it cost so damn much ($6.50) for this tinted lip balm. Before I became a lipstick junkie I was a lip gloss junkie, so I know quality. Ladies and gems save your money. This product is not worth the hype and the trip to the drugstore. No I will not be trying any of the other shades. And no I don't care how much more pigmented they are than Gumdrop. I am done. Matter of fact, Gumdrop was the only decent color available to me because all the other shades were sold out. SMH. I give this product a 3.
Only for the packaging and it because it did make my lips feel soft. But the color that is in the tube did not show true on my lips as you can see in the above photos. :(

If your not a lipstick girl and want a something close without all the bold color, this product may work for you. It's moisturizing and has no taste or fragrance. And the packaging is nice.

I am not really into frosty or pearl lipstick, but they seem to be into me! :), surprisingly I like these colors and of course my favorite is Wild Orchid. It is super gorgeous, I wore it and got come compliments on it, despite my initial reservations. Any who, Revlon always makes great lipsticks! All of these lipsticks feel great on the lips.

Revlon Matte Lipstick (Nude Attitude) L.A. Colors Lip Liner (Dark Brown)

Who says nude attitude is not wearable if your dark skin, where there is a will there is a way! I lined this pastel beige matte lipstick with L.A. Colors Lip Liner in Dark Brown. L.A. Colors Lip Liners are awesome, cheap, pigmented and long lasting by the way! I wish I could say the same for the lipstick! Til next time!

I ♥ Revlon: Mad About Mauve Lipstick

For all you brown skin ladies who like pink but don't like wearing it too bold on the lips, this is may be the color for you. It is a creme which means it has no frost or shimmer to it. This is the old formula so it is a bit more opaque than the newer version but I am sure you will get the same effect. Newer Revlon lipsticks have the window at the top of the tube and mine does not, so that's how I know.
This is a very toned down version of the pinks that you see me normally wear! Let me know what you think, leave a comment below or PM me.

I ♥ Revlon: Persian Melon

This is one of Revlon's Moon Drops Lipsticks, instead of a black matte or shiny case, it's case is green. Love's it, with a little see thru window at the top this lipstick is a blue base creme pink. I like it, because it's very very bold, it is alil on the retro side, you know I love my pinks, but this would be especially stunning on someone with fair or pale skin. not saying it doesn't look good on me, but I would not call it a everyday wearable pink, for me it would have to be more on the fuchsia side like Lilac Champagne. But all in all it is a pretty color. Very moisturizing and creamy. Not really long lasting but still worth having in your collection if you collect various hues of lipsticks.

I ♥ Revlon: Strawberry Suede Lipstick

This lipstick is a very unique super bright and pigmented red-hot pink color, that I think can be flattering to all skin tones, me being a brown skinned brown eyed bombshell can rock this color too. I would however keep the eye makeup to a minimum to prevent from looking too overdone. This is one of Revlon's matte lipsticks although not very popular, and I cannot seem to figure out why. This color is not for the faint hearted. It is buildable. So you can wear as little or as much as you want. $7.99 at most drugstores.
Pros: Long Lasting, Pigmented

I am loving Revlon's Pink Pout matte lipstick. It is a pink-lavender color that I think could be flattering to brown skin tones.
Pros: Long Lasting, Non Drying, Pigmented, Smooth Application.
Cons: Too expensive for drugstore lipstick, always sold out.
Recommendations: Line the lips with a berry or brown lip liner after applying this color so your lips don't have that powdered donuts look. This lipstick looks better when paired with pink-lavender smokey eyes.

I ♥ Revlon: Cherries In The Snow Lipstick

This is a bright berry color, very classic and easy to wear. An alternative for those who do not like to wear dark or red lipsticks. This is a creme lipstick, I love the packaging, there is a nifty c-thru window at the top of the lipstick tube. The color tends to fade a bit and has a tendency to sink into the lines of your lips, its a nice lipstick to wear for a photo shoot or a short outing but I would not recommend it for all day wear.
Pros: Pigmented, Build-able color.
Cons: Wears off easily.
Recommendations: Put concealer around the lips for clean look and to prevent bleeding. Also a lip liner is highly recommended.
