These lipsticks are pigmented but not opaque, so they can go on as sheer or as bold as you would like. Tropica is a beautiful orange color, I thought it was red but it is actually a true orange which would like beautiful on most brown skin tones. The black currant lipstick I am not too impressed by, it is a classic color and it seems like I have seen it time and time again. If you are dark skin and looking for a statement lipstick, then this may be the one for you. But it does nothing against my brown skin but make me look older than I am. It is true some lipsticks can age you beyond your years and I found that out today. Besides that it is a beautiful color. The lipsticks are not trying and very moisturizing, they feel almost like a chap-stick on the lips. There is no taste or smell to them which is a plus and the lipstick tube is small enough to fit in your pocket, but still has the same amount of product as any other lipstick, with a cute little window on the top lid.
Recommendations: When wearing either of these colors, keep the eyes and the rest of the face neutral.
